Why CallDo exists

CallDo is designed to ensure you never miss a vital reminder by using real-time phone calls instead of easy-to-ignore notifications. Whether it's for medication, caring for loved ones, or your own critical tasks, our goal is reliability with absolute privacy.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data.

• No personal information (Name, Email, etc.) is required.
• No contact lists are uploaded.
• No audio recordings leave your device.
• No Internet connection is required for the app to function.

What we ask for

To provide reliable "real call" reminders, we ask for specific system permissions:

• Manage Calls: To show the custom incoming call screen.
• Exact Alarms: To trigger reminders at the precise second you set.
• Battery Optimization: To ensure Android doesn't "kill" the reminder service while your phone is asleep.

Location permissions

If you choose to set a place-based reminder, CallDo requests the following location permissions. These are only used when you actively create a location reminder — the app never tracks your location passively.

• Precise Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) & Approximate Location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Used to centre the map when you pick a place and to register the arrival zone you select.
• Background Location (ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION): Required so the reminder call can fire when you arrive at the chosen place even if the app is closed. Without this, the feature would not work at all. You are shown a clear explanation before this is requested.
• Physical Activity (ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION): Used on Android 10 and above to detect when you stop moving near your chosen place. This improves arrival accuracy alongside the standard geofence. No fitness or health data is collected, stored, or analysed.

Your location coordinates are stored only on your device as part of the reminder you created. They are never uploaded, shared, or used for any purpose other than triggering your call.

How we process data

Everything stays on your phone. All scheduling logic, audio processing, and contact association happen strictly within the local CallDo database on your device. We use industry-standard encryption for local storage where applicable, ensuring that even on-device, your data is secure.
